Cash Saving Tips!

Make a List! & Stick To It!

One of the easiest ways to overspend is to not make a list or worse make a list and leave it at home.
Without a list, not only are you more likely to forget the products you actually needed, but you are MUCH more likely to buy things that you didn't plan on getting nor really need.

Fill Up Before you Go!

Whatever you do,Do NOT go to the store hungry!

When you're hungry all of a sudden your local grocery store looks like a giant smorgasbord! Which means ALOT more things will find its way to your basket!

Go Alone

Kiddos can definitely sway your opinion, or at least mine, on those extra things that I probably wouldn't have gotten on top of the little goody I was probably already going to get them ;-)

Price Match

Alot of grocery stores now price match, talk to your different local store managers and find out who price matches and what they accept. Ask for their policy on price matching, they will be able to give you their written policy if you just ask.

Coupons

....Duh

Coupons are awesome when done correctly...I'm still working on the correctly part. I work at a grocery store and am still amazed at how much one person can save by using coupons. Be sure to pay close attention to the expiration dates, and the catch to them... (ex) Kraft Mayonaise 1.00 off (when you purchase 2 bottles of kraft salad dressing).  You can also get an old picture album or book and seperate your coupons into an order that works for you, by price, or by food, electronics, toiletries etc...
